One of our favorite kindie bands will be back in town! If your little one hasn’t seen Justin Roberts in concert, put this in a must-to-see list for him/her. His show is always fun and energetic. We had a great time at Justin Roberts’ show in Washington, DC, last year.

When?
Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm

How much?
Tickets are $15 per person (babies under 1 year old are free). The morning show is sold out, but tickets are still available for the 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm show. Get your tickets online.

Jumping Jack Sports Open Gym – Ashburn, VA
Friday, January 28: 12 pm – 1:30 pm and 5 pm – 6:30 pm

In addition to their Snow Day Camp (all day from 9 am to 4 pm), Jumping Jack Sports will also hold two open gym times this Friday. Bounce, slide, go through a 70-foot inflatable obstacle course, climb a rock wall and more! Fees: $10 for the first child, $8 for siblings, $6 for babies from 18 months to 2 years and free for adults. Members receive 50% off.

Ralph's World at Jammin' Java in Vienna, Virginia

One show that we never miss is Ralph’s World! Our family stopped by Jammin’ Java in Vienna, Virginia, a few weeks ago to see Ralph perform with his band. As always, they put on a fun show for the family.

It was a sold-out concert, but thankfully we got there early enough to be third in line to pick our seats. Forget the front-row seat, however, since apparently our family was moving too slow that morning! After the staff members gave everyone the go ahead to pick our seats, kids and parents rushed in to grab the best seats. There was a also a birthday party at the show, so the party attendees were seated in a reserved area. Jammin’ Java is a small venue, so really, there was no bad seat.

Keller Williams kids' show at State Theatre in Falls Church, VA

Our family took a break from holiday decorating this Thanksgiving week and checked out Keller Williams kids’ show. The show was held at State Theatre in Falls Church, Virginia, and that place was packed!

We got there a little late after going around and around the block trying to find a parking spot. When we got in the theatre, there was a long line in the lobby to the bar (for the parents, of course!) and the place was full of families enjoying the concert. We found a spot in the theatre’s standing area right by the stage and danced along to the music.

I’ve been humming holiday songs since before Halloween. I can’t help it, I love the holiday season! I try to avoid malls and shopping centers whenever possible, but I love checking out holiday activities in the area.
