Justin Roberts performing at National Geographic Live in Washington, DC
The day before Halloween, our family trekked to National Geographic Live in Washington, DC, to see Justin Roberts perform with the Not Ready for Naptime Players. They did not disappoint!
They put on an lively performance and interacted with the audience. Most kids hung out in the mosh pit area by the stage (okay, it’s really not a mosh pit, especially with the National Geographic staff members who were pretty strict about not letting kids lean on the stage). Some parents sat on the floor to be with their kids while others stayed in their seats and watched their kids dance on the floor.
It was such a fun show! It was great to see both kids and parents having a good time together. Most kids were really into it; my daughter loved following the band’s dance instructions. Another little girl who was dancing for almost an entire hour pulled a tumbling move on the floor since she was so excited to hear a particular song. I almost fell on the floor laughing … gotta love kids’ spontaneity! It was also great that Justin Roberts came out to say hello to his fans after the show was over.
If you missed Justin Roberts’s performance during Halloween weekend in Washington, DC, metro, no worries … they’ll be back in the area next spring. March 5th to be exact, and they’ll have three shows at Jammin’ Java in Vienna, Virginia.
